The Story of InOutSnackz
It all started with a craving for nostalgia.
In 2021, during the COVID pandemic, Kush stumbled upon an Instagram page selling Dunkaroos—one of our favorite childhood snacks that had been discontinued for years. Curious, he visited a store in Scarborough, Ontario, specializing in rare and exotic snacks.
Walking in, we were amazed—shelves filled with international treats, unique drinks, and snacks we had never seen before. But our excitement turned into shock when we saw the price: a six-pack of Dunkaroos was selling for $25—far from the under-$5 price tag from our childhood.
Leaving empty-handed, we sat in the car, still processing what we had just seen. That’s when Rohit, always thinking in numbers, asked the question that changed everything:
“How much do you think they bought them for, and how much profit are they making?”
That single thought turned into an obsession. We started researching, uncovering an entire industry of exotic snacks and drinks. Every day, we discovered new products, suppliers, and trends. But there was a problem—many stores priced these snacks way too high, had poor customer service, or lacked a welcoming atmosphere.
That’s when we saw our opportunity.
We didn’t just want to sell snacks. We wanted to create a business that was:
✅ Affordable – Giving people access to international snacks without breaking the bank.
✅ Family-Friendly – A fun, welcoming space with clean music and a great atmosphere.
✅ Customer-Focused – Listening to our customers, taking requests, and constantly improving.
But before we could make it happen, we faced a challenge—we had different visions.
Kush wanted a storefront. Rohit believed in an online-first approach. Our solution? We started small, launching from our basement in Oshawa and listing products on SkipTheDishes. It was the perfect middle ground—an online business with a local touch.
Then, in 2022, our family moved to Belleville, Ontario, and we quickly realized something—Belleville had nothing like this. Kush was still determined to open a physical store, but finding the right location took time.
After a year of searching, we finally found the perfect spot.
On December 15, 2023, InOutSnackz officially opened its doors!
From a random Instagram discovery to a full-fledged business, this journey has been fueled by passion, persistence, and the belief that everyone deserves a taste of something new.
InOutSnackz isn’t just a store—it’s a movement. A place where families, snack lovers, and curious taste buds can explore the world, one bite at a time.
And this is just the beginning.
