šŸŽ’ Inside the Life of a Snack Seller: A Day at InOutSnackz

Ever wonder what it’s like to run a shop filled with international snacks, funky sodas, and TikTok-famous treats? It’s not just candy and ramen—it’s shipping boxes, taste tests, shelf Tetris, and real customer convos that turn a regular day into a full-on snack adventure.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at a typical day running InOutSnackz—where every flavour tells a story and every customer brings something new to the table.

ā˜€ļø 11:20 AM – Opening Prep & Fresh Eyes

Before the door opens, the lights go on, the music starts (usually a feel-good playlist), and the first job is always stock check. Some days it’s a mad dash because a new shipment has arrived—fresh drops from Korea, Japan, the US, or the Philippines—and boxes are everywhere.

I’m unboxing, double-checking invoices, and making sure products survived shipping. Crushed chips? Not cute. Broken ramen packs? Into the clearance bin they go.

🧃12:30 PM – Restocking Favourites (and Discoveries)

The early morning is quiet, so it’s the perfect time to get organized. I restock bestsellers like:

  • Spicy Korean Ramen Bowls (always a top seller!)
  • Mini Soda Cans from Thailand
  • Gummy candies in wild flavours (like cola, lychee, or even garlic!)
  • New arrivals for our Mystery Boxes

It’s also when I try one new thing myself. Sometimes it’s a jelly drink I’ve never had. Sometimes it’s a random biscuit from the Czech Republic. You can’t sell a snack you don’t understand—and bonus, I get to discover personal favourites.

🤳 2:00 PM – TikToks, Photos & Customer Laughs

This is when I shift into content creator mode. I shoot quick skits, snack reviews, or ā€œwhat’s new this weekā€ videos. Sometimes I pack orders on camera, but I’ve also been getting into short, funny snack skits (even if it means talking to myself on camera... again).

In-store, the vibe changes. Curious walk-ins, regulars grabbing their favourite drinks, and sometimes the occasional ā€œWhat’s the weirdest snack you’ve got?ā€ customer. (Answer: probably the dried squid lollipops.)

šŸ“¦ 4:00 PM – Order Fulfillment & Website Updates

Time to prep online orders—bubble wrap, thank-you stickers, and a whole lot of careful packing. A lot of people order from out of town, so I make sure everything looks good and feels like a gift.

Afterward, I update the site: sold-out items, new snack photos, maybe a blog post (like this one!). Online and in-store don’t run themselves—each product needs its moment to shine.

šŸŒ™ 7:30 PM – Last-Minute Rush & Close-Up Routine

Just when I think the day’s winding down... surprise rush! Teens grabbing drinks, parents picking up candy for movie night, or someone asking, ā€œDo you still have that thing I saw on your Instagram Story?ā€

At close, I sweep up crushed ramen crumbs (yes, it happens), count the till, and prep tomorrow’s to-do list. Every day is different—but every day is deliciously chaotic.

šŸ’¬ Final Thoughts: It’s More Than Just Snacks

Running InOutSnackz is part retail hustle, part foodie fun, and part creative expression. Whether I’m helping a customer find the perfect gift, trying to go viral with a soda reaction video, or just restocking shelves, I love that no two days are the same.

This business runs on flavour, fun, and a little bit of chaos—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
